Step-by-Step Visa on Arrival Application for Hunters
With Namibia’s new visa regulations now in effect, all international hunters traveling to Namibia are required to complete a visa application before arrival or on entry.
To make the process simple, we’ve created this step-by-step guide based on the official application system, specifically tailored for hunting clients visiting Namibia.
Before You Start
Make sure you have the following ready before beginning your application:
Valid passport with at least 6 months validity
At least 3 blank passport pages
Passport photo saved as a PDF file
Passport copy
Travel itinerary or flight details
Proof of accommodation (your hunting safari booking)
Proof of medical or travel insurance
Sufficient financial means for your stay
If traveling with children:
Full birth certificate
Parental consent letter
Step 1: Access the Official Visa Portal
Visit the official Namibian Ministry of Home Affairs website and click on E-Services to begin your application.

Step 2: Register or Log In
Before continuing, you will need to create an account or log in.
You can:
Register using your email
Log in using Google
Use existing login credentials
Make sure all details match your passport exactly.


Step 3: Select Visa on Arrival
Once logged in, select the Visa on Arrival option from the E-Services menu.
Then click on: New Visa on Arrival Application

Step 4: Complete the Application Form
Fill in all required details, including:
Personal information
Passport details
Travel plans
Purpose of visit
For hunters, clearly indicate that your visit is for a hunting safari.

Step 5: Confirm Financial Means
You will be asked to confirm that you have sufficient funds for your stay.
Select Yes and enter your estimated travel budget.
This is a required step for visa approval.

Step 6: Upload Documents and Submit
Upload the required documents:
Passport photo (must be in PDF format)
Passport copy
Supporting travel documents
Tick the declaration box and click Proceed.

Step 7: Track and Pay for Your Application
Return to the Visa on Arrival section and select:
Track and Pay Your Visa on Arrival Application
Here you can:
Download your approval notice
Complete payment
Access your visa once approved


Step 8: Download and Print Your Visa
Once payment is complete:
Download your approved visa
Print a physical copy
You must carry this document when traveling.

When arriving in Namibia, ensure you have:
Printed visa approval
Valid passport (6 months validity, 3 blank pages)
Completed Visa on Arrival form
Accommodation confirmation
Travel itinerary
Proof of medical/travel insurance
Invitation letter if applicable
If traveling with children:
Full birth certificate
Parental consent letter
